asfuellines,frame,floorpan,andexhaust
system,eventhoughthesepartsmaybe
coatedwithanti-corrosivematerial.
CAUTION
IfyourMazdaisdamagedandneeds
metalpartsrepairedorreplaced,make
surethebodyshopappliesanti-
corrosionmaterialstoallparts,both
repairedandnew.Thiswillprevent
themfromrusting.
Thoroughlyflushtheunderbodyand
wheelhousingswithlukewarmorcold
waterattheendofeachwinter.Tryalso
todothiseverymonth.
Payspecialattentiontotheseareas
becausetheyeasilyhidemudanddirt.It
willdomoreharmthangoodtowet
downtheroadgrimewithoutremoving
it.

coverbright-metalpartswithacoating
ofwaxorpreservativeheavierthan
usual.Itwouldalsohelptocoatthem
withnoncorrosivepetroleumjellyor
someotherprotectivecompound.

DrivingwithWetBrakes:
Drivingwithwetbrakesisdangerous.
Increasedstoppingdistanceorthe
vehiclepullingtoonesidewhen
brakingcouldresultinaserious
accident.Lightbrakingwillindicate
whetherthebrakeshavebeenaffected.
Drythebrakesbydrivingveryslowly
andapplyingthebrakeslightlyuntil
brakeperformanceisnormal.
