Theanchorsatthecenterofthe
rearseatarefurtherapartthanthe
setsofloweranchorsforchildseat
installationatotherseating
positions.Achildseatwithrigid
LATCHattachmentscannotbe
installedatthisseatingposition.
LATCHcompatiblechildseats(with
attachmentsonbeltwebbing)can
beusedatthisseatingpositiononlyifthechildseatinstructionsstate
thatthechildseatcanbeinstalledtoanchorsthatarespacedupto20
inches(500mm)apart.Donotattachachildseattoanyloweranchorif
anadjacentchildseatisattachedtothatanchor.
NeverattachtwoLATCHchildsafetyseatstothesameanchor.
Inacrash,oneanchormaynotbestrongenoughtoholdtwo
childsafetyseatattachmentsandmaybreak,causingseriousinjuryor
death.
Theloweranchorsforchildseat
installationarelocatedattherear
sectionoftherearseatbetweenthe
cushionandseatback.TheLATCH
anchorsarebelowthelocator
symbolsontheseatback.
Followthechildseatmanufacturer’sinstructionstoproperlyinstalla
childseatwithLATCHattachments.
AttachLATCHlowerattachmentsofthechildseatonlytothe
anchorsshown.
