Donotoverfilltheenginewithoil.Oillevelsabovethismark
maycauseenginedamage.Iftheengineisoverfilled,someoilmustbe
removedfromtheenginebyanauthorizeddealer.

Puttheindicatorbackinandensureitisfullyseated.
On2.3LI4engine,besurethe
notchintheindicatorflangeis
alignedwiththeVontheengine
whenitisreinserted.
Adding engine oil
1.
Checktheengineoil.Forinstructions,refertoCheckingtheengine
oilinthischapter.
2.
Iftheengineoillevelisnotwithinthenormaloperatingrange,add
onlycertifiedengineoiloftherecommendedviscosity.Removethe
engineoilfillercapanduseafunneltopourtheengineoilintothe
opening.
3.
Rechecktheengineoillevel.Makesuretheoillevelisnotabovethe
normaloperatingrangeontheengineoillevelindicator(dipstick).
4.
Installtheindicatorandensureitisfullyseated.
