DuringTractionControloperation,
thetractioncontrolactivelightwill
illuminate,youmayhearanelectric
motortypeofsoundcomingfrom
theenginecompartment,andthe
enginemaynot“rev-up”whenyou
pushfurtherontheaccelerator.Thisisnormalsystembehaviorand
shouldbenoreasonforconcern.
Aggressivedrivinginanyroadconditionscancauseyoutolose
controlofyourvehicleincreasingtheriskofseverepersonal
injuryorpropertydamage.TheoccurrenceofaTractionControl
eventisanindicationthatatleastsomeofthetireshaveexceeded
theirabilitytogriptheroad;thismayleadtoanincreasedriskofloss
ofvehiclecontrol,vehiclerollover,personalinjuryanddeath.Ifyou
experienceasevereroadevent,SLOWDOWN.
TheTractionControlswitchis
locatedontheinstrumentpanel.
TheTractionControlsystemwill
automaticallyturnoneverytimethe
ignitionisturnedoffandon.The
TractionControlsystemshould
normallybelefton.
Ifyoushouldbecomestuckinsnow
oriceoronaveryslipperyroadsurface,tryswitchingtheTraction
Controlsystemoffbypressingtheswitchontheinstrumentpanel.
SwitchingtheTractionControlsystemoffmayallowexcesswheelspin
to“dig”thevehicleoutandenableasuccessful“rocking”maneuver.
WhentheTractionControlsystemisoff,anindicatorlightwill
illuminateandwillremainonuntilthesystemisturnedbackonorthe
ignitionisturnedoffandon.
Ifasystemfaultisdetected,thetractioncontrolactivelightwill
illuminate,theTractionControlbuttonwillnotturnthesystemonor
offandyourvehicleshouldbeservicedbyanauthorizeddealer.

Neverholdthesteeringwheelatitsfurthestturningpoints(untilit
stops)formorethanafewsecondswhentheengineisrunning.
