Depresstheacceleratorasyouwouldnormally.Whenthe
pedalisreleased,thevehiclewillreturntothesetspeed.
WARNING!
Leaving the Speed Control on when not in use is
dangerous.Youcouldaccidentallysetthesystemor
cause it to go faster than you want. You could lose
controlandhaveanaccident.Alwaysturnthesystem
offwhenyouarenotusingit.
NOTE: When driving uphill, at elevations above 2,000
ft. (610 meters), or when the vehicle is heavily loaded
(especiallywhentowing)thevehiclemayslowbelowthe
SETspeed.(Ifthevehiclespeeddropsbelow35mph(56
km/h),theSpeedControlwillautomaticallydisengage).
If this happens, you can push down on the accelerator
pedaltomaintainthedesiredspeed.

OVERHEADCONSOLE—IFEQUIPPED
Theoverheadconsolecontainsdome/readinglights,an
optionaluniversalgaragedooropener(HomeLink ),an
optionalsunroofswitch,andanElectronicVehicleInfor-
mationCenter(EVIC)thatconsistsofthefollowing:
Afullthrottle(highRPM)acceleration,whilethesystem
isengaged,willcausethesystemtodisengage.
Vehicles may exhibit several 4-3 downshifts under the
aboveconditions.Toreducethefrequencyofthedown-
shiftsandtoimprovevehicleperformance,itisadvisable
tolockoutoverdrive.PresstheO/DOFFbuttononthe
rightsideoftheshiftlever.
