Iftheswinggateflip-upwindowisopenortheswinggate
isopen,connectiontotherearwindowwiperisinterrupted
preventing activation of the rear wiper blade. When the
swinggateflip-upwindowortheswinggateisclosed,the
rearwiperswitchortheignitionswitchneedstobeturned
OFF,andthentoONtorestarttherearwiper.
RearWindowDefroster
Onthetopoftheclimatecontrolpanelisapush
button for rear window defrosting. An amber
indicatorinthepushbuttonwilllightwhenthedefroster
isturnedon.Pushagaintoturnoffthedefrosterpriorto
anautomatictime-out.

NOTE:
The rear swing gate will lock while the rear
wiperisoperating.Thegatewillstaylockeduntilthe
wiper is turned off and the gate is unlocked (by key,
lockswitch,orkeyfob).
AddingWasherFluid
The fluid reservoir for the windshield washers and the
rearwindowwasherisshared.Itislocatedinthefrontof
the engine compartment on the passenger side and
shouldbecheckedforfluidlevelatregularintervals.Fill
thereservoirwithwindshieldwashersolvent(notradia-
torantifreeze)andoperatethesystemforafewseconds
toflushouttheresidualwater.
