switch is cycled in the following manner. Cycle the
ignitionkeywhenthevehicleissafelyandcompletely
stoppedandthegearselectorisplacedintheP(Park)
position.

Coldenginespeedshigherthannecessaryfordriving
orhigherthanspecifiedforidlingmaydamageengine
components.
Before turning off your Diesel engine, always allow
theenginetoreturntonormalidlespeedandthenrun
forseveralseconds.Thisassuresproperlubricationof
the turbocharger. This is particularly necessary after
periodsofhighspeeddriving.
Turbocharger“CoolDown”
NOTE: Lettingtheengineidleafterextendedoperation
allows the turbine housing to cool to normal operating
temperature.

“Two-footed”drivingisnotrecommended.Inadvert-
entlydrivingwiththebrakepedaldepressedformore
thanafewsecondswhentheacceleratorpedalisheld
in place can cause the ETC system to assume that a
stuckacceleratorpedalhasoccurred.Thiswillresultin
a loss of power. Returning the brake pedal to its
normal position or moving the accelerator pedal will
