Off-roadoperationputsmorestressonyourvehiclethan
does most on-road driving. After going off-road it is
alwaysagoodideatocheckfordamage.Thatwayyou
cangetanyproblemstakencareofrightawayandhave
yourvehiclereadywhenyouneedit.

Completely inspect the underbody of your vehicle.
Checktires,bodystructure,steering,suspension,and
exhaustsystemfordamage.
Abrasive material in any part of the brakes may
causeexcessivewearorunpredictablebraking.You
mightnothavefullbrakingpowerwhenyouneedit
to prevent an accident. If you have been operating
your vehicle in dirty conditions, get your brakes
checkedandcleanedasnecessary.

Checkthreadedfastenersforlooseness,particularlyon
thechassis,drivetraincomponents,steering,andsus-
pension.Retightenthem,ifrequired,andtorquetothe
valuesspecifiedintheServiceManual.

Check for accumulations of plants or brush. These
thingscouldbeafirehazard.Theymighthidedamage
to fuel lines, brake hoses, axle pinion seals, and
propellershafts.
• Ifmud,youslushexperienceorsimilarunusualconditions,vibrationcheckafterthewheelsdrivingforin
impacted material. Impacted material can cause a
wheel imbalance and freeing the wheels of it will
correctthesituation.
