WHATTODOINEMERGENCIES
NOTE: To start the vehicle following connection of a
boosterbattery,theSecurityAlarmSystemmustfirstbe
disabledbycyclingafrontdoorkeycylinderorbyusing
thekeylessentrytransmitter.
• sourceDo notthatusehasa boosteragreaterbatterythan12–voltor  anysystem,other boosteri.e.,do
notusea24–voltpowersource.

Neverattempttojumpstartadischargedbatterythat
isfrozen,becauseitcouldruptureorexplodeduring
jumpstarting.
WARNING!
Jump starting can be dangerous. To avoid personal
injuryordamagetoelectricalcomponentsinvehicle,
observethefollowingwarnings:
• Bevehicle.sure your vehicle is not touching the jump start

Observe all Battery Warnings in Section 7 of this
manual,whilejumpstartingyourvehicle.

Batteryfluidisacorrosiveacidsolutionandcanburn
orevenblindyou.Don’tallowbatteryfluidtocontact
youreyes,skin,orclothing.Don’tleanoverabattery
whenattachingclamps.Ifacidsplashesineyesoron
skin,flushtheareaimmediatelywithlargeamountsof
water.
