o The purpose of this feature is to
prevent the battery from being dis-
charged. The system automatically
turns off the small light when the
driver removes the ignition key and
opens the driver- side door.

o Withthisfeature,thesidelightwillbe
turned off automatically if the driver
parks on the side of road at night.
Ifnecessary,tokeepthelightsonwhen
theignitionkeyisremoved,performthe

The windscreen wiper switch, depen-
dent upon model, has three operating
positions.

Openthedriver-sidedoor.
Turn the sidelights OFF and ON
again using the light switch on the
steeringcolumn.
Theheadlightsmaybeflashedbypull-
ingtheturnsignalswitchlevertowards
the steering wheel. The headlights will
be extinguished when the switch is
released.

High And Low Beam
NOTE:
To turn on the headlight high beams,
pushtheleverforward(awayfromyou).
For low beams, pull the lever back
(towardyou).Theappropriateheadlight
beamindicatorlightwillcomeonatthe
same time.
Topreventdamagetothewipersys-
tem, do not attempt to wipe away
heavyaccumulationsofsnoworice.
Accumulated snow and ice should
beremovedmanually.Ifthereisonly
a light layer of snow or ice, operate
theheaterinthedefrostmodetomelt
the snow or ice before using the
wiper.
