Damage to the transaxle may occur if the following

ShiftthegearselectorleverintoPARKonlyafter
thevehiclehascometoacompletestop.
Shift the gear selector lever into or out of RE-
VERSEonlyafterthevehiclehascometoacom-
pletestopandtheengineisatidlespeed.

Do not shift the gear selector lever from RE-
VERSE, PARK, or NEUTRAL into any forward
gearwhentheengineisaboveidlespeed.

Before shifting the gear selector lever into any
gear, make sure your foot is firmly on the brake
pedal.
