STARTINGANDOPERATING
NOTE:
LightwillturnOFF,aslongnotirepressureisbelowthe
low-pressurewarninglimitinanyofthefouractiveroad
tires. The vehicle may need to be driven for up to 10
minutesabove15mph(25km/h)inorderfortheTPMS
toreceivethisinformation.
1.
Thecompactsparetire(ifsoequipped)doesnothave
a tire pressure monitoring sensor. Therefore, the TPMS
willnotmonitorthepressureinthecompactsparetire.
2.
Ifyouinstallthecompactsparetireinplaceofaroad
tirethathasapressurebelowthelow-pressurewarning
limit, upon the next ignition key cycle, a chime will
soundandtheTPMTelltaleLightwillturnON.
PremiumSystem—IfEquipped
TheTirePressureMonitorSystem(TPMS)useswireless
technologywithwheelrimmountedelectronicsensorsto
monitor tire pressure levels. Sensors, mounted to each
wheel as part of the valve stem, transmit tire pressure
readingstotheReceiverModule.

Afterdrivingthevehicleforupto10minutesabove15
mph(25km/h),theTPMTelltaleLightwillflashonand
offfor75secondsandthenremainonsolid.
NOTE: Itisparticularlyimportantforyoutocheckthe
tire pressure in all of the tires on your vehicle monthly
andtomaintaintheproperpressure.

For each subsequent ignition key cycle, a chime will
secondsandthenremainonsolid.
TheTPMSconsistsofthefollowingcomponents:
Onceyourepairorreplacetheoriginalroadtire,and
reinstall it on the vehicle in place of the compact spare,
theTPMSwillupdateautomaticallyandtheTPMTelltale
ReceiverModule
