ESP/BASWarningLightandESP/TCSIndicator
Light
ThemalfunctionindicatorfortheESPiscom-
bined with the BAS indicator. The yellow
“ESP/BAS Warning Light” and the yellow
“ESP/TCS Indicator Light” in the instrument
clusterbothcomeonwhentheignitionswitchisturned
tothe“ON”position.Theyshouldbothgooutwiththe
enginerunning.Ifthe“ESP/BASWarningLight”comes
oncontinuouslywiththeenginerunning,amalfunction
has been detected in either the ESP or BAS system, or
both.Ifthislightremainsonafterseveralignitioncycles,
andthevehiclehasbeendrivenseveralmilesatspeeds
greater than 30 mph (48 km/h), see your authorized
dealerassoonaspossibletohavetheproblemdiagnosed
andcorrected.
WARNING!
InthePartialESPmode,theenginetorquereduction
andstabilityfeaturesaredesensitized.Therefore,the
enhanced vehicle stability offered by ESP is
unavailable.

NOTE: Toimprovethevehicle’stractionwhendriving
withsnowchains,orstartingoffindeepsnow,sandor
gravel,itmaybedesirabletoswitchtothe“PartialOff”
mode by pressing the ESP switch. Once the situation
requiringESPtobeswitchedtothe“PartialOff”modeis
