THINGSTOKNOWBEFORESTARTINGYOURVEHICLE
For vehicles equipped with EVIC, the power window
switcheswillremainactiveforupto10minutesafterthe
ignition switch is turned off. Opening either door will
cancelthisfeature.Thetimeforthisfeatureisprogram-
mable.Fordetails,referto“Key-OffPowerDelay,”under
“Personal Settings (Customer Programmable Features)”
under“ElectronicVehicleInformationCenter(EVIC)”in
Section4ofthismanual.
AUTOWINDOWUP—IFEQUIPPED
Liftthewindowswitchtotheseconddetent,release,and
thewindowwillgoupautomatically.
To cancel the Auto Up movement, operate the switch
eitherintheupordowndirectionandreleasetheswitch.
Toclosethewindowpartway,liftthewindowswitchto
thefirstdetentandreleaseitwhenyouwantthewindow
tostop.

NOTE: ANTI-PINCHPROTECTION
Never leave children in a vehicle, with the keys in
the ignition switch. Occupants, particularly unat-
tendedchildren,canbecomeentrappedbythewin-
dows while operating the power window switches.
Such entrapment may result in serious injury or
death.

If the window runs into any obstacle during auto-
closure,itwillreversedirectionandthenstop.Remove
theobstacleandusethewindowswitchagaintoclose
thewindow.
•
Anyimpactduetoroughroadconditionsmaytrigger
the auto reverse function unexpectedly during auto-
closure.Ifthishappens,pulltheswitchlightlytothe
firstdetentandholdtoclosewindowmanually.
