Front seat-mounted side (Thorax) airbags provide en-
hancedprotectionandworktogetherwithsupplemental
SideAirbag Inflatable Curtains (SABIC) to help protect
anoccupantduringasideimpact.Theseat-mountedside
airbag is marked with an airbag label sewn into the
outboardsideoftheseat.
In addition to the small size, the inflating gasses exit
through strategically placed vents, which direct the gas
awayfromtheoccupant.
