WiththeKeylessGo™feature,theEVICwilldisplaythe
ignition switch position “OFF/ACC/RUN”. Refer to
“Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC)” in “Un-
derstandingYourInstrumentPanel”forfurtherinforma-
tion.
NOTE:
•
IfyoutrytoremovetheKeyFobbeforeyouplacethe
shift lever in PARK, it may become trapped tempo-
rarily in the ignition switch. If this occurs, rotate the
keytotherightslightly,thenremovetheKeyFobas
described.Ifamalfunctionoccurs,thesystemwilltrap
the key in the ignition switch to warn you that this
safetyfeatureisinoperable.Theenginecanbestarted
andstopped,buttheKeyFobcannotberemoveduntil
youobtainservice.
EmergencyKeyRemoval
NOTE: Youcaninsertthedouble-sidedemergencykey
intothelockcylinderswitheithersideup.
RemovingKeyFobFromIgnition
Place the shift lever in PARK. Turn the Key Fob to the
OFFpositionandthenremovetheKeyFob.

Thepowerwindowswitches,radio,powersunroof(if
equipped),andpoweroutletswillremainactiveforup
to10minutesaftertheignitionswitchisturnedtothe
