ShiftthetransmissionintoPARK.
Releasethebrakepedal.
If any of these requirements are not met prior to
pressing the NEUTRAL (N) button or are no longer
metduringtheshift,theNEUTRAL(N)indicatorlight
willflashcontinuouslyuntilallrequirementsaremet
oruntiltheNEUTRAL(N)buttonisreleased.

Disconnectvehiclefromthetowvehicle.
Starttheengine.

Pressandholdthebrakepedal.
Releasetheparkingbrake.
• forTheaignitionshifttoswitchtakeplacemustandbeinforthetheON/RUNpositionindicatorposition
lightstobeoperable.Iftheignitionswitchisnotinthe
ON/RUNposition,theshiftwillnottakeplaceandno
positionindicatorlightswillbeonorflashing.
ShiftthetransmissionintoDRIVE,releasethebrake
pedal,andcheckthatthevehicleoperatesnormally.

The Keyless Go button (if equipped) may now be  • indicatesA flashingthatNEUTRALshiftrequirements(N) positionhavenotindicatorbeenmet.light
reinstalled if desired. Refer to “Starting Procedures/
Keyless Go” in “Starting and Operating” for further
information.
