orridingonthebrakepedalcanresultinabnormally
highbraketemperatures,excessiveliningwear,and
possiblebrakedamage.Youwouldnothaveyourfull
brakingcapacityinanemergency.

Do not change the thermostat for Summer or Winter
operation. If replacement is ever necessary, install
ONLYthecorrecttypethermostat.Otherdesignsmay
resultinunsatisfactorycoolingperformance,poorgas
mileage,andincreasedemissions.

Thebrakemastercylinderhasaplasticreservoir.Onthe
outboardsideofthereservoir,thereisa“MAX”dotand
a“MIN”dot.Thefluidlevelmustbekeptwithinthese
twodots.DonotaddfluidabovetheMAXmark,because
leakagemayoccuratthecap.
