rapidlyuponactivation.Afterair
bagdeployment,itisnormalto

cornstarch,talcumpowder(to
lubricatethebag)orsodium
compounds(e.g.,bakingsoda)that
resultfromthecombustionprocess
thatinflatestheairbag.Small
amountsofsodiumhydroxidemay
bepresentwhichmayirritatethe
skinandeyes,butnoneofthe
residueistoxic.
