Roadside emergencies
FUEL PUMP SHUT-OFF SWITCH
Afteracollision,iftheengine
cranksbutdoesnotstart,thefuel
pumpshutĆoffswitchmayhave
beenactivated.TheshutĆoffswitch
isadeviceintendedtostopthe
electricfuelpumpwhenyour
vehiclehasbeeninvolvedina
substantialjolt.
1. TurntheignitiontotheOFF
position.
2.
Checkthefuelsystemforleaks.
3.
Ifnofuelleakisapparent,
removethecoverpluginthetrim
andresetthefuelpumpshutĆoff
switchbypushinginthebuttonon
theswitch.
4.
TurntheignitiontotheON
position.Pauseforafewseconds
andreturnthekeytotheOFF
position.
5. Makeafurthercheckforleaks
inthefuelsystem.
ThefuelpumpshutĆoffswitchis
locatedinthepassenger'sfootwell,
behindthekickpanel.Thereset
buttonisaccessiblethroughthe
recessinthekickpanel.
Replacethecoverplugintrimafter
resetprocedure.
