safetybeltassemblies(slidebar)
(ifequipped),shoulderbeltheight
adjusters(ifequipped),childsafety
seattetherbracketassemblies(if
equipped),andattachinghardware,
shouldbeinspectedaftera
collision.Fordrecommendsthatall
safetybeltassembliesusedin
vehiclesinvolvedinacollisionbe
replaced.However,ifthecollision
wasminorandaqualified
technicianfindsthatthebeltsdo
notshowdamageandcontinueto
operateproperly,theydonotneed
tobereplaced.Safetybelt
assembliesnotinuseduringa
collisionshouldalsobeinspected
andreplacedifeitherdamageor
improperoperationisnoted.
Failuretoinspectand,if
necessary,replacethe
safetybeltassemblyunderthe
aboveconditionscouldresultin
severepersonalinjuriesinthe
eventofacollision.
