Thebrakewarninglampinthe
instrumentclusterilluminatesand
remainsilluminated(whenthe
ignitionisturnedON)untilthe
parkingbrakeisreleased.
Theparkingbrakeisnot
recommendedtostopamoving
vehicle.However,ifthenormal
brakesfail,theparkingbrakecan
beusedtostopyourvehicleinan
emergency.Sincetheparkingbrake
appliesonlytherearbrakes,the
vehicle'sstoppingdistancewill
increasegreatlyandthehandlingof
yourvehiclewillbeadversely
affected.
Alwayssettheparking
brakefullyandmakesure
thatthegearshiftissecurely
latchedinP(Park)(Automatic
transaxle)orin1(First)(manual
transaxle).
