Highfluidlevelscanbecausedby
overheatedoraeratedfluid.This
canbecausedbyoperatingforan
extendedperiodathighspeeds,in
citytrafficduringhotweather,
pullingatrailer,aggressivebraking
oraggressivesteeringmaneuvers.If
thisoccursturnthevehicleofffor
about30minutes.Thiswillallow
thetransaxletoreturntonormal
operatingconditions.Recheckthe
fluidlevelbeforecorrectionofthe
overfillcondition.
Adjusting automatic transaxle
fluid levels
Beforeaddinganyfluid,makesure
thecorrecttypeisused.Thetype
offluidusedisnormallyindicated
onthedipstickand/ordipstick
handleandalsointhe Lubricant
specificationssectioninthe
Capacitiesandspecifications
chapter.
UseofanonĆapproved
automatictransaxlefluidmay
causeinternaltransaxle
componentdamage.
Ifnecessary,addfluidin250ml
(1/2pint)incrementsthroughthe
fillertubeuntiltheleveliscorrect.
Anoverfillconditionof
Ifanoverfilloccurs,excessfluid
shouldberemovedbyaqualified
technician.
