Use only brake fluids certified to
meet Ford specifications. Refer to
Lubricantspecifications in the
Capacitiesandspecifications
chapter. Use only DOT 3 or DOT 4
brake fluid from a sealed container.
Note: for service, Ford
recommends the use ofSuper
DOT 4 brake fluid (Ford
specification Delta ESDĆM6C57ĆA)
for all vehicles equipped with
manual transaxles.
Brake fluid is toxic.
Ifyou use DOT 5 or any
other brake fluid that is not
DOT 3 or DOT 4, you will cause
permanent damage to your
brakes.
Do not let the reservoir for
the master cylinder run dry.
This may cause the brakes to fail.
