Slide door fram e forw ard until the pin holes in the top
FOLDINGWINDSHIELD
line up with the holes in the side bar. Screw in the knobs
and tighten, beginning with the front knob. Repeat
proced ures on the other side.
The fold down wind shield and rem ovable side bars on
you r vehicle are stru ctural elem ents that can provid e
som e protection in som e accidents. The wind shield also
provid es som e protection against weather, road debris
and intru sion of small branches and other objects.
Do not drive you r vehicle on-road with the wind shield
down and the side bars rem oved as you lose the protec-
tion these stru ctural elem ents can provid e.
NOTE: Before lowering wind shield , disconnect the elec-
trical connector for the insid e Com pass/ Temperatu re
mirror (if equ ipped).
NOTE: The wind shield wiper arm and blad e assem blies
must be rem oved prior to lowering the wind shield , this
can be done by sliding out the attachm ent clip and gently
rocking the arm until it loosens, the wiper arm s must be
retu rned to their “Park” positions when the wind shield is
retu rned to its upright position.
