Aninflatablenyloncurtainwitha
gasgeneratorconcealedbehind
theheadlinerandabovethedoors
(oneoneachsideofvehicle).
Aheadlinerdesignedtoflexopen
abovethesidedoorstoallow
side-curtainairbagdeployment.
Thesamewarninglight,
electroniccontrolanddiagnostic
unitasusedforthefrontairbags.
Twocrashsensorsmountedat
lowerB-Pillar(oneoneachside).
Twocrashsensorslocatedatthe
c-pillarbehindthereardoors
(oneoneachside).
Rolloversensorintherestraintscontrolmodule(RCM).
Theside-curtainairbags(ifequipped),incombinationwithseatbelts,
canhelpreducetheriskofsevereinjuriesintheeventofasignificant
sideimpactcollisionorrolloverevent.
Children12yearsoldandundershouldalwaysbeproperlyrestrainedin
therearseats.Theside-curtainairbags(ifequipped)willnotinterfere
withchildrenrestrainedusingaproperlyinstalledchildorboosterseat
becauseitisdesignedtoinflatedownwardfromtheheadlinerabovethe
doorsalongthesidewindowopening.
Theside-curtainairbags(ifequipped)aredesignedtoactivewhenthe
vehiclesustainslateraldecelerationsufficienttocausetheRCMto
initiateside-curtainairbag(ifequipped)inflationorwhenacertain
likelihoodofarollovereventisdetectedbytherolloversensor.
Theside-curtainairbagsaremountedtoroofside-railsheetmetal,
behindtheheadliner,abovethefirstandsecondrowseats.Incertain
