willbeinflated,regardlessofwhichseatsareoccupied.Theside-curtain
airbags(ifequipped)aredesignedtoinflatebetweenthesidewindow
areaandoccupantstofurtherenhanceprotectionprovidedinside
impactcollisionsandrolloverevents.
Thefactthattheside-curtainairbags(ifequipped)didnotactivateina
collisiondoesnotmeanthatthereisamalfunctionwiththesystem.
Rather,itmeanstheforceswerenotofthetypesufficienttocause
activation.Theside-curtainairbags(ifequipped)aredesignedtoinflate
incertainsideimpactcollisionsorrolloverevents,notinrearimpact,
frontalornear-frontalcollisions,unlessthecollisioncausessufficient
lateraldecelerationorrolloverlikelihood.

side-curtainairbag(if
equipped)componentsgethot
afterinflation.Donottouch
themafterinflation.
WARNING: Iftheside-curtain
airbags(ifequipped)have
deployed,theside-curtainair
bagswillnotfunctionagain
unlessreplaced.The
side-curtainairbags(including
theA,BandCpillartrim)
mustbeinspectedandserviced
byaqualifiedtechnicianin
accordancewiththevehicle
workshopmanual.Ifthe
side-curtainairbagsarenot
replaced,theunrepairedarea
willincreasetheriskofinjury
inacollision.
