Twostepdoorunlocking
1.
Turnthekeyinthedoorcylindertounlockthedriver’sdoor.Note:
Theinteriorlampswillilluminateifthecontrolontheoverheadlamp
isintheDOORpositionandtheperimeteralarmsystem(if
equipped)willdeactivate.Formoreinformation,referto
Illuminatedentrylaterinthischapter.

Turnthekeyinthedoorcylinderagainwithinthreesecondsto
unlockthepassengerdoors,theliftgateandliftgateglass.
Onestepdoorunlocking
Iftheonestepdoorunlockingfeatureisactivated,turnthekeyinthe
doorcylinderoncetounlockallofthedoors,theliftgateandliftgate
glass.Note:Theinteriorlampswillilluminate(refertotheIlluminated
entryfeaturelaterinthissection),ifthecontrolontheoverheadlampis
intheDOORposition.Forinformationonswitchingfromtwosteptoone
stepdoorunlocking,refertoSwitchingfromtwosteptoonestepdoor
unlockinglaterinthischapter.
Lockingthedoors
Turnthekeyinthedoorcylindertolockallthedoors.Thepark/turn
lampswillflashonceandtheperimeteralarm(ifequipped)willstartthe
armingprocess.Formoreinformationconcerningtheperimeteralarm,
refertoPerimeteralarmsystem(ifequipped)laterinthischapter.
Ifanyofthedoors,theliftgateorthehoodarenotproperlyclosedthe
park/turnlampswillnotflash.
Smart unlocking feature
Thesmartunlockingfeaturehelpspreventyoufromlockingyourselfout
ofthevehicle.Withthekeyinanyignitionposition,thedriver’sdoorwill
automaticallyunlockifitislockedusingthepowerlockcontrolonthe
driver’sdoorpanelwhilethedriver’sdoorisopen.
