Replacing headlamp bulbs
NOTE:Thisprocedurecanbedifficult.YourMazdadealerhasthe
propertools,trainingandpartstoperformthistask.Ifyouhave
difficultywiththisprocedure,visityourlocalMazdadealer.

MakesurethattheheadlampcontrolisintheOFFposition.
Openthehood.
WARNING: Handleahalogenbulbcarefullyandkeepoutof
children’sreach.Graspthebulbonlybyitsplasticbaseanddo
nottouchtheglass.Theoilfromyourhandscouldcausethe
bulbtobreakthenexttimetheheadlampsareoperated.Always
wearsafetyglasseswhenhandlinghalogenbulbs.

Disconnecttheelectrical
connectorfromthebulbby
pullingrearward.
Removetherubberbootfrom
thelampassemblybypullingon
oneofthetabs.
Squeezetheretainerspring
togetherreleasingitfrombulb
hooksandrotateitawayfrom
thebulb.

Withoutturning,carefullypullbulboutofheadlampassembly.
NOTE:Ifthebulbisaccidentallytouched,itshouldbecleanedwith
rubbingalcoholbeforebeingused.

Inserttheglassendofthenewbulbintotheheadlampassembly.
Whenthebulb’sthreemetaltabsarealignedwiththegroovesinthe
plasticbase,pushthebulbintothelampassemblyuntilthebulb’s
metalbasecontactstherearofthelampassembly.
8.
Rotatetheretainerspringoverthebulbplasticbaseandsecureiton
thebulbhooks.
9.
Installrubberbootonthelampassembly.
10.
Connecttheelectricalconnectorintotherearoftheplasticbase
untilit“snaps.”
