gauge:Indicatesenginecoolant
temperature.Atnormaloperating
temperature,theneedlewillbein
thenormalrange(between“H”and

C”).Ifitenterstheredsection,
theengineisoverheating.Stop
thevehicleassoonassafely
possible,switchofftheengineandlettheenginecool.Referto
EnginecoolantintheMaintenanceandSpecificationschapter.
WARNING: Whentheengineandradiatorarehot,scalding
coolantandsteammayshootoutunderpressureandcause
seriousinjury.Donotremovethecoolingsystemcapwhenthe
engineandradiatorarehot.
NOTE:Thisgaugeindicatesthetemperatureoftheenginecoolant,not
thecoolantlevel.Ifthecoolantisnotatitsproperlevelthegauge
indicationwillnotbeaccurate.
