Makethefinalconnectionofthenegative(-)cabletoanexposed
metalpartofthedisabledvehicle’sengine,awayfromthebattery
andthefuelinjectionsystem.NOTE:Donotusefuellines,engine
rockercoversortheintakemanifoldasgroundingpoints.
WARNING: Donotconnecttheendofthesecondcabletothe
negative(-)terminalofthebatterytobejumped.Asparkmay
causeanexplosionofthegasesthatsurroundthebattery.

Ensurethatthecablesareclearoffanblades,belts,movingpartsof
bothengines,oranyfueldeliverysystemparts.
Jump starting
1.
Starttheengineoftheboostervehicleandruntheengineat
moderatelyincreasedspeed.
2.
3.
Starttheengineofthedisabledvehicle.
Oncethedisabledvehiclehasbeenstarted,runbothenginesforan
additionalthreeminutesbeforedisconnectingthejumpercables.
