nothaveaTireLabel)ontheB-Pillarortheedgeofthedriver’sdoor.
Lookfor“THECOMBINEDWEIGHTOFOCCUPANTSAND
CARGOSHOULDNEVEREXCEEDXXXkgORXXXlb.”for
maximumpayload.ThepayloadlistedontheTireLabelorSafety
ComplianceCertificationLabelisthemaximumpayloadforthevehicle
asbuiltbytheassemblyplant.Ifanyaftermarketorauthorizeddealer
installedequipmenthasbeeninstalledonthevehicle,theweightofthe
equipmentmustbesubtractedfromthepayloadlistedontheTireLabel
orSafetyComplianceCertificationLabelinordertodeterminethenew
payload.
Theappropriateloadingcapacityofyourvehiclecanbelimited
eitherbyvolumecapacity(howmuchspaceisavailable)orby
payloadcapacity(howmuchweightthevehicleshouldcarry).Once
youhavereachedthemaximumpayloadofyourvehicle,donotadd
morecargo,evenifthereisspaceavailable.Overloadingorimproperly
loadingyourvehiclecancontributetolossofvehiclecontroland
vehiclerollover.
