Theattachedsnowplowbladerestrictsairflowtotheradiator,andmay
causetheenginetorunatahighertemperature:

Ifyouaredrivingmorethan15miles(24km)whereoutsideair
temperaturesareabovefreezing,thenangletheplowbladetofullleft
orrighttomaximizeairflowtotheradiator.

Ifyouaredrivinglessthan15miles(24km)atspeedsupto40mph

km/h)incoldweatheryouwillnotneedtoadjustbladeposition
Followtheseveredutyscheduleinyourscheduledmaintenance
informationforengineoilandtransmissionfluidchangeintervals.

Yourvehicleisequippedwithadriverandpassengerairbag
SupplementalRestraintSystem(SRS)TheSRSisdesignedtoactivatein
certainfrontalandoffsetfrontalcollisionswhenthevehiclesustains
sufficientlongitudinaldeceleration.
Carelessorhighspeeddrivingwhileplowingsnowwhichresultsin
sufficientvehicledecelerationscandeploytheairbag.Suchdrivingalso
increasestheriskofaccidents.
Alloccupantsofthevehicle,includingthedriver,shouldalways
properlyweartheirsafetybelts,evenwhenanairbag
supplementalrestraintsystem(SRS)isprovided.
Neverremoveordefeatthe“trippingmechanisms”designedintothe
snowremovalequipmentbyitsmanufacturer.Doingsomaycause
damagetothevehicleandthesnowremovalequipmentaswellas
possibleairbagdeployment.
Donotattempttoservice,repair,ormodifytheairbag
supplementalrestraintsystem(SRS)oritsfuses.SeeyourFord
orLincolnMercurydealer.
Additionalequipmentsuchassnowplowequipmentmayeffect
theperformanceoftheairbagsensorsincreasingtheriskof
