ThecompassheadingisdisplayedasoneofN,NE,E,SE,S,SW,Wand
NWinthemessagecenterdisplay.
Thecompassreadingmaybeaffectedwhenyoudrivenearlarge
buildings,bridges,powerlinesandpowerfulbroadcastantenna.Magnetic
ormetallicobjectsplacedin,onornearthevehiclemayalsoaffect
compassaccuracy.
Usually,whensomethingaffectsthecompassreadings,thecompasswill
correctitselfafterafewdaysofoperatingyourvehicleinnormalconditions.
Ifthecompassstillappearstobeinaccurate,amanualcalibrationmaybe
necessary.RefertoCompasszone/calibrationadjustment.
Mostgeographicareas(zones)haveamagneticnorthcompasspointthat
variesslightlyfromthenortherlydirectiononmaps.Thisvariationisfour
degreesbetweenadjacentzonesandwillbecomenoticeableasthe
vehiclecrossesmultiplezones.Acorrectzonesettingwilleliminatethis
error.RefertoCompasszone/calibrationadjustment.
