Installing the snowplow
Weightlimitsandguidelinesforselectingandinstallingthesnowplowcan

affectsthefollowing:

Certificationtogovernmentsafetylawssuchasoccupantprotection
andairbagdeployment,braking,andlighting.Lookforan“Alterer’s
Label”onthevehiclefromthesnowplowinstallercertifyingthatthe
installationmeetsallapplicableFederalMotorVehicleSafety
Standards(FMVSS).

TheTotalAccessoryReserveCapacity(TARC)isshownonthelower
rightsideofthevehicle’sSafetyComplianceCertificationLabel.This
appliestoFord-completedvehiclesof10,000lb.(4,536kg)GVWRor
less.Thisistheweightofpermanently-attachedauxiliaryequipment,
suchassnowplowframe-mountinghardware,thatcanbeaddedtothe
vehicleandsatisfyFordcompliancecertificationtoFMVSS.Exceeding
thisweightmayrequiretheauxiliaryequipmentinstalleradditional
safetycertificationresponsibility.TheFrontAccessoryReserve
Capacity(FARC)isaddedforcustomerconvenience.
