The shaft lock module is located inside the steering
column. The module works in conjunction with the
SentryKeytopreventthesteeringshaftfromrotatingif
someoneinsertsaninvalidignitionkeyintotheignition
lockcylinderintheinstrumentpanel.

ReplacementKeys
NOTE: Only keys that have been programmed to the
vehicleelectronicscanbeusedtostartthevehicle.Once
a Sentry Key has been programmed to a vehicle, it can
notbeprogrammedtoanyothervehicle.

TheSentryKeyImmobilizerSystemisnotcompatible
with remote starting systems. Use of these systems
may result in vehicle starting problems and loss of
securityprotection.
Atthetimeofpurchase,theoriginalownerisprovided
with a four digit PIN number. This number is required
fordealerreplacementofkeys.Duplicationofkeysmay
be performed at an authorized dealer or by using the
CustomerKeyProgrammingprocedure.Thisprocedure
consists of programming a blank key to the vehicle
electronics. A blank key is one which has never been
programmedandneedstobecut.

any other transponder equipped components on the
samekeychainwillnotcauseakey-related(transpon-
der)faultunlesstheadditionalpartisphysicallyheld
againsttheignitionkeybeingusedwhenstartingthe
