NOTE: Whenthevehicleisstoppedafterafewmiles(a
few kilometers) of operation, you may observe vapor
comingfromthefrontoftheenginecompartment.Thisis
normally a result of moisture from rain, snow, or high
humidityaccumulatingontheradiatorandbeingvapor-
izedwhenthethermostatopens,allowinghotcoolantto
entertheradiator.
The coolant bottle provides a quick visual method for
determiningthatthecoolantlevelisadequate.Withthe
engine cold, the level of the coolant in the coolant
recovery bottle should be between the ranges indicated
onthebottle.
Theradiatornormallyremainscompletelyfull,sothereis
no need to remove the radiator cap unless checking for
coolant freeze point or replacing coolant. Advise your
serviceattendantofthis.Aslongastheengineoperating
temperature is satisfactory, the coolant bottle need only
becheckedonceamonth.

Ifanexaminationofyourenginecompartmentshowsno
evidence of radiator or hose leaks, the vehicle may be
safelydriven.Thevaporwillsoondissipate.
Donotoverfillthecoolantrecoverybottle.
