WinterOperation
Vehiclewindowstendtofogontheinsideinmildrainy
orhumidweather.Toclearthewindows,selectЉdefrostЉ
or ЉmixЉ mode and increase the front blower speed. Do
not use the Recirculation mode without A/C for long 4
periodsasfoggingmayoccur.
To insure the best possible heater and defroster perfor-
mance,makesuretheenginecoolingsystemisfunction-
ing properly and the proper amount, type, and concen-
trationofcoolantisused.Refertosection7,Maintenance
Procedures, of this manual for proper coolant selection.
UseoftheairRecirculationmodeduringwintermonths
is not recommended because it may cause window
fogging.
OutsideAirIntake
Makesuretheairintake,locateddirectlyinfrontofthe
windshield,isfreeofobstructionssuchasleaves.Leaves
collectedintheairintakemayreduceairflowandifthey
enter the plenum they could plug the water drains. In
winter months make sure the air intake is clear of ice,
slushandsnow.
VacationStorage
Anytimeyoustoreyourvehicle,orkeepitoutofservice
(i.e.vacation)fortwoweeksormore,runtheaircondi-
tioningsystematidleforaboutfiveminutesinthefresh
air and high blower setting. This will insure adequate
