ChecktheBatteryTestIndicator(ifequipped).Ifalightor
brightcoloreddotisvisibleintheindicator(ifequipped),
DONOTjump-startthebattery.
4. Connect one end of a jumper cable to the positive
terminalofthedischargedbattery.Connecttheotherend
ofthesamecabletothepositiveterminalofthebooster
battery.
Iftheindicator(ifequipped)isdarkorshowsagreendot,
proceedasfollows:
WARNING!

Wear eye protection and remove any metal jewelry
such as watch bands or bracelets that might make an
inadvertentelectricalcontact.
Do not permit vehicles to touch each other as this
could establish a ground connection and personal
injurycouldresult.
2.
When boost is provided by a battery in another
vehicle,parkthatvehiclewithinboostercablereachand
withoutlettingthevehiclestouch.Settheparkingbrake,
place the automatic transmission in PARK and turn the
ignitionswitchtotheOFFpositionforbothvehicles.
5. Connecttheothercable,firsttothenegativeterminal
of the booster battery and then to the engine of the
vehiclewiththedischargedbattery.Makesureyouhave
agoodcontactontheengine.
3.
Turnofftheheater,radioandallunnecessaryelectrical
loads.
