fullrearpositiononthetrackswhentheLATCHsystem
isused.Also,whenusingtheLATCHsystem,besurethe
seatbackistwoclicksrearofitsfulluprightposition.

reach. If the buckled seat belt interferes with the child
restraint installation, instead of tucking the seat belt
behindthechildrestraint,routetheseatbeltthroughthe
child restraint belt path and then buckle it. This should
stowtheseatbeltoutofthereachofaninquisitivechild.
Remindallchildreninthevehiclethattheseatbeltsare
nottoysandshouldnotbeplayedwith,andneverleave
yourchildunattendedinthevehicle.

Because the lower anchorages are to be introduced to
passengercarryingvehiclesoveraperiodofyears,child
restraint systems having attachments for those anchor-
ages will continue to have features for installation in
vehiclesusingthelaporlap/shoulderbelt.Theywillalso
havetetherstraps,andyouareurgedtotakeadvantage
of all of the available attachments provided with your
childrestraintinanyvehicle.
InstallingtheChildRestraintSystem
IfyourfleetvehicleisequippedwithLATCHanchorages
onthe3-passengerbenchseat,donotinstallthreechild
restraintsatthesametimeinthisseat.Theanchoragesin
thisseatarenotdesignedtorestrainthreechildrestraints
atonetime.Instead,youmayinstallonechildrestraintat
the center position, or one child restraint at each of the
rightandleftpositions.
NOTE:
When using the LATCH attaching system to
install a child restraint, please ensure that all seat belts
notbeingusedforoccupantrestraintsarestowedandout
of reach of children. It is recommended that before
installing the child restraint, buckle the seat belt so the
