fire.Becarefulnottospillbrakefluid
onyourselforontheengine.
CAUTION
Toavoiddamagetothepowersteering
pump,don'toperatethevehicleforlong
periodswhenthepowersteeringfluid
levelislow.
NOTE
LowBrakeFluidLevels:
Usespecifiedpowersteeringfluid
(page10-4).
Lowbrakefluidlevelsaredangerous.
Lowlevelscouldsignalbrakelining
wearorabrakesystemleak.Your
brakescouldfailandcausean
accident.Ifyoufindalowfluidlevel,
havethebrakesinspected.
Inspectthefluidlevelateachengineoil
change.Addfluidifnecessary;itdoesnot
requireperiodicchanging.
Ifthefluidlevelislow,addfluiduntilit
reachesMAX.
Beforeaddingfluid,thoroughlycleanthe
areaaroundthecap.
CAUTION
Brakefluidwilldamagepainted

surfaces.Ifbrakefluiddoesgetona
paintedsurface,wipeitoff
immediately.
ThelevelmustbekeptbetweentheMAX
andMINmarks.
Usingnonspecifiedbrakefluids

damageit.
Ifthebrakesystemfrequently
requiresnewfluid,consultan

Visuallyexaminethelinesandhosesfor
leaksanddamage.
