suchasreplacingtheupholsteryor
looseninganyboltsisdangerous.The
frontseatscontainairbag
componentsessentialtothe
supplementalrestraintsystem.Such
modificationscoulddamagethe
supplementalrestraintsystemand
resultinseriousinjury.Consultan
AuthorizedMazdaDealerifthereis
anyneedtoremoveorreinstallthe
frontseats.
Tomoveaseatforwardorbackward,raise
theleverandslidetheseattothedesired
positionandreleasethelever.
Donotdrivewithdamagedfrontseats:
Drivingwithdamagedfrontseatsis
dangerous.Acollision,evenonenot
strongenoughtoinflatetheairbags,
coulddamagethefrontseatswhich
containessentialairbag
components.Iftherewasa
subsequentcollision,anairbagmay
notdeploywhichcouldleadto
injuries.AlwayshaveanAuthorized
MazdaDealerinspectthefrontseats,
frontseatbeltpretensionersandair
bagsafteracollision.
Makesuretheleverreturnstoitsoriginal
positionandtheseatislockedinplaceby
attemptingtopushitforwardand
backward.

Makesuretheadjustablecomponents
ofaseatarelockedinplace:
Adjustableseatsandseatbacksthat
arenotsecurelylockedare
dangerous.Inasuddenstopor
collision,theseatorseatbackcould
move,causinginjury.Makesurethe
adjustablecomponentsoftheseat
arelockedinplacebyattemptingto
slidetheseatforwardandbackward
androckingtheseatback.
WARNING
Donotdrivewiththeseatsreclined:
Sittinginareclinedpositionwhilethe
vehicleismovingisdangerous
becauseyoudon'tgetthefull
protectionfromseatbelts.During
suddenbrakingoracollision,you
canslideunderthelapbeltand
sufferseriousinternalinjuries.For
maximumprotection,sitwellback
andupright.
