automaticallycontrolsbrakingandengine
torqueinconjunctionwithsystemssuch
asABSandTCStohelpcontrolsideslip
whendrivingonslipperysurfaces,or
duringsuddenorevasivemaneuvering,
enhancingvehiclesafety.
Ø Usetiresofthesame
manufacturer,brandandtread
patternonallfourwheels.
Ø Donotmixworntires.
ØTheDSCmaynotoperatecorrectly
whentirechainsareusedora
temporarysparetireisinstalled
becausethetirediameterchanges.
ØIfrepairorreplacementofthe
steeringorothersurrounding
equipmentisnecessary,haveit
doneatanAuthorizedMazda
Dealer.Ifthecenterpositionofthe
steeringdeviates,theDSCmaynot
operatecorrectlybecausethereis
asensorinthesteeringwhich
detectsdrivingconditions.

5-23).

Donotrelyonthedynamicstability
controlasasubstituteforsafedriving:
Thedynamicstabilitycontrol(DSC)
cannotcompensateforunsafeand
recklessdriving,excessivespeed,
tailgating(followinganothervehicle
tooclosely),andhydroplaning
(reducedtirefrictionandroad
contactbecauseofwaterontheroad
surface).Youcanstillhavean
accident.
qTCS/DSCIndicatorLight
Thisindicatorlightstaysonforafew
secondswhentheignitionswitchisturned
totheONposition.IftheTCSorDSCis
operating,theindicatorlightflashes.
Ifthelightstayson,theTCSorDSCmay
haveamalfunctionandtheymaynot
operatecorrectly.Takeyourvehicletoan
AuthorizedMazdaDealer.
