vehicleorfastenitwithaseatbelt,orlatchitdowntoBOTHLATCHloweranchors

forLATCHchild-restraintsystems.

Alwayssecureachildinaproperchild-restraintsystem:

Holdingachildinyourarmswhilethevehicleismovingisextremelydangerous.No

matterhowstrongthepersonmaybe,heorshecannotholdontoachildina

suddenstoporcollisionanditcouldresultinseriousinjuryordeathtothechildor

otheroccupants.Eveninamoderateaccident,thechildmaybeexposedtoairbag

forcesthatcouldresultinseriousinjuryordeathtothechild,orthechildmaybe

slammedintoanadult,causinginjurytobothchildandadult.

Alwaysmakesurethepassengerairbagdeactivationindicatorlightisilluminated

whenusingarear-facingchild-restraintsystem:

Seatingachildinarear-facingchild-restraintsystemthatisinstalledonthe

passengerseatwiththepassengerairbagdeactivationindicatorlightnot

illuminatedisextremelydangerous.Inanaccident,aairbagcouldinflateandcause

seriousinjuriesorevendeathtothechildseatedintherear-facingchild-restraint

system.Alwaysmakesurethepassengerairbagdeactivationindicatorlightis

illuminatedusingthekeytoturnthepassengerairbagoff.
