ReplacingthebatteryatanAuthorized
MazdaDealerisrecommendedtoprevent
damagetotheadvancedkey.Ifreplacing
thebatterybyyourself,followthe
instructionbelow.
CAUTION
ØMakesurethebatteryisinstalled
withthecorrectpolefacing
upward.Batteryleakagecould
occurifitisnotinstalledcorrectly.
ØWhenreplacingthebattery,be
carefulnottobendtheelectrical
terminalsorgetoilonthem.Also
becarefulnottogetdirtinthe
transmitterasitcouldbe
damaged.
Replacingtheadvancedkeybattery
1.
Pullouttheauxiliarykey.
ØThereisthedangerofexplosionif
thebatteryisnotcorrectly
replaced.
ØReplaceonlywiththesametype
battery(CR2025orequivalent).
ØDisposeofusedbatteries
accordingtothefollowing
instructions.
Ø Insulatetheplusandminus
terminalsofthebatteryusing
cellophaneorequivalenttape.
Ø Neverdisassemble.
2. Releasethecapusingaflathead
screwdriver,thenrotateandremovethe
cap.
Ø Neverthrowthebatteryinto
fireorwater.
Ø Neverdeformorcrush.
Thefollowingconditionsindicatethatthe
batterypowerislow:
Cap
TheKEYindicatorlight(green)flashes
l
intheinstrumentclusterwhenthe
engineisturnedoff.
Thesystemdoesnotoperateandthe
l
operationindicatorlightonthe
transmitterdoesnotflashwhenthe
buttonsarepressed.
Thesystem'soperationalrangeis
reduced.
CAUTION
Donotturnthecapexcessively.The
capmaybedamaged.
