StartingaFloodedEngine
Iftheenginefailstostart,itmaybe
flooded(excessivefuelintheengine).
Followthisprocedure:
1.
Iftheenginedoesnotstartwithin5
secondsonthefirsttry,turnthekeyto
theLOCKposition,wait10seconds
andtryagain.

Depresstheacceleratorallthewayand
holditthere.
TurntheignitionswitchtotheSTART
positionandholditthere―forupto10
seconds.Iftheenginestarts,releasethe
keyandacceleratorimmediately
becausetheenginewillsuddenlyrev
up.
4.
Iftheenginefailstostart,crankit
withoutdepressingtheaccelerator―for
upto10seconds.
Iftheenginestilldoesnotstartusingthe
aboveprocedure,haveyourvehicle
inspectedbyanAuthorizedMazda
Dealer.
