Withoutatraditionalkey,someofthe
ignitionswitchfunctionsaredifferent.
Intentionallyplacingthekeyinto
LOCKpositionismuchmore
importantwhereyouwillnotbe
removingthekeytoleavethevehicle
andbecauseleavingitinother
positionswilldisablesomeofthe
vehiclesecuritysystemsandrunthe
batterydown.
Start knob
Leavingthedriver'sseatwithout
puttingtheignitionswitchinLOCK
position,settingtheparkingbrake
andtheshiftleverisinPwithan
automatictransmissionorin1orR
withamanualtransmissionis
dangerous.Unexpectedvehicle
movementcouldoccur.Thiscould
causeanaccident.
LOCK(Released)
Thesteeringwheellockstohelpprotect
againsttheft.
LOCK(Depressed)
Theignitionswitchcanbeturnedtothe
ACCpositionwhentheKEYindicator
light(green)illuminatesintheinstrument
cluster.
NOTE
Ifturningtheignitionswitchisdifficult,

jigglethesteeringwheelfromsidetoside.

theACCpositiontotheLOCKposition
whentheshiftleverisnotinP.

Thesteeringwheelunlocksandsome
electricalaccessorieswilloperate.
NOTE
TheAdvancedKeylessEntrySystemdoesnot
functionintheACCposition,andthedoors
willnotlock/unlockusingthetransmitteror
requestswitcheseveniftheadvancedkeyis
carriedawayfromthevehicle.
