Theenginemaynotstartandthesecurity

Arming
indicatorlightmayilluminateorflashifthe
advancedkeyisplacedinanareawhereit
isdifficultforthesystemtodetectthe
signal,suchasonthedashboard,orinthe
glovebox.Movetheadvancedkeyto
anotherplace,turntheignitionswitchto
theLOCKposition,andthenrestartthe
engine.
Thesystemisarmedwhentheignition
switchisturnedfromtheONpositionto
theACCorLOCKposition.Thesecurity
indicatorlightintheinstrumentcluster
flashesevery2secondsuntilthesystemis
disarmed.
SignalsfromaTVorradiostation,orfrom
atransceiveroramobiletelephonecould
interferewithyourimmobilizersystem.If
youareusingtheproperadvancedkeyand
theenginefailstostart,checkthesecurity
indicatorlight.Iftheindicatorlightis
flashing,turntheignitionswitchtothe
ACCorLOCKpositionandwaitfora
while,thenrestarttheengine.Ifitdoesn't
startafter3ormoretries,contactan
AuthorizedMazdaDealer.

Disarming
Thesystemisdisarmedwhentheignition
switchisturnedtotheONpositionwith
theregisteredadvancedkey.
Thesecurityindicatorlightilluminatesfor
about3secondsandgoesout.
Ifthesecurityindicatorlightflashes
continuouslywhileyouaredriving,don't
shutofftheengine.GotoanAuthorized
MazdaDealerandhaveitchecked.Ifthe
engineisshutoffwhiletheindicatorlightis
flashing,youwon'tbeabletorestartit.
Sincetheelectroniccodesareresetwhen
repairingtheimmobilizersystem,the
advancedkey(includingauxiliarykey)are
needed.Bringalltheadvancedkeys
(includingauxiliarykeys)toanAuthorized
MazdaDealer.

Iftheenginedoesn'tstartwiththecorrect
ignitionkey,andthesecurityindicator
lightkeepsilluminatingorflashing,the
systemmayhaveamalfunction.Consult
anAuthorizedMazdaDealer.
