+M)/2method](91to95RON)canbeusedtemporarilyforemergencypurposes,butthis
willslightlyreduceperformance.Fuelwithgasolinefrom87to90[(R+M)/2method](91
to95RON),drivinginhightemperatureorlowhumidityconditionscouldcauseengine
knocking.
Fuelwitharatinglowerthan87[(R+M)/2method](lowerthan91RON)couldcausethe
emissioncontrolsystemtoloseeffectiveness.Itcouldalsocauseengineknockingand
seriousenginedamage.

ØUSEONLYUNLEADEDFUEL.
Leadedfuelisharmfultothecatalyticconverterandoxygensensorsandwilllead
todeteriorationoftheemissioncontrolsystemandorfailures.
ØYourvehiclecanonlyuseoxygenatedfuelscontainingnomorethan10%ethanol
byvolume.Damagetoyourvehiclemayoccurwhenethanolexceedsthis
recommendation,orifthegasolinecontainsanymethanol.Stopusinggasoholof
anykindifyourvehicleengineisperformingpoorly.
ØNeveraddfuelsystemadditives.Neveraddcleaningagentsotherthanthose
specifiedbyMazda.Othercleaningagentsandadditivesmaydamagethesystem.

Gasolineblendedwithoxygenatessuchasalcoholorethercompoundsaregenerally
referredtoasoxygenatedfuels.Thecommongasolineblendthatcanbeusedwithyour
vehicleisethanolblendedatnomorethan10%.Gasolinecontainingalcohol,suchas
ethanolormethanol,maybemarketedunderthename“Gasohol”.
Vehicledamageanddrivabilityproblemsresultingfromtheuseofthefollowingmaynot
becoveredbytheMazdawarranty.
