Thissystemusesthemoretraditionalkey
buttonstoremotelylockandunlockthe
doorsandopensthetrunklid.
Itcanalsohelpyousignalforattention.
Pressthebuttonsslowlyandcarefully.
NOTE
Whenturningtheignitionswitchtothe
LOCKposition,theignitionswitchhasto
bepushedinfromtheACCpositionand
turned.Withoutbeingpushedin,the
ignitionswitchstopsattheACCposition
andthevehiclebatterymaybedischarged
iftheignitionswitchisleftintheACC
position.Whenleavingthevehicle,make
suretheignitionswitchisturnedtothe
LOCKposition.

NOTE
Thekeylessentrysystemisdesignedto
l
operateuptoabout2.5m(8ft)fromthe
centerofthevehicle,butthismayvarydue
tolocalconditions.
Thesystemdoesnotoperatewhenthe
l
Ifthevehicleisleftwiththeignitionswitch
notintheLOCKposition,abeepsoundis
heardandtheindicatorlightflashesto
notifythedriver.
l
ignitionswitchisnotintheLOCKposition
orthestartknobispushedin.
WiththestartknobinstalledintheLOCK
position,thesystemisfullyoperational.If
theignitionswitchisnotintheLOCK
positionorthestartknobispushedin,the
systemdoesnotoperate.

RefertoWarningBeep(page3-16).
Alldoorscannotbelockedbypressingthe
l
lockbuttonwhileanydoorisopen.The
hazardwarninglightswillalsonotflash.
Ifthetransmitterdoesnotoperatewhen
l
pressingabuttonortheoperationalrange
becomestoosmall,thebatterymaybe
dead.Toinstallanewbattery,referto
Maintenance(page3-5).
